The Seven Methods of Control: The 2005 Insider's List

Most of the 2005 Elite Family Insider thread is about the soul, the Divine Law and the way out of what he called the prison. But on the fourth day, a reader asked a practical question: which foods are used to control us, and what does "temperance" mean? The answer became the most copied passage in the whole text.

The list

He said food was "1 part of the manipulation", used "in combination with 6 other methods of control in your daily life." They work together, he said, and their purpose is not to kill but to wear you out: "These methods are used to wear you out, lower your quality of life. They are interlinked."

1. Food and drinks
2. Medication, "Health care" (include vitamins)
3. Electrical waves (including your PC and cellphone, house electr. network, everything chipped)
4. Media, be it TV-radio-newspapers-magazines-internet (the most obvious method, yet the most enslaving)
5. Music, Sounds (different method than media, used in a different way although most times through the media)
6. Air pollution
7. Education system (including known literature which is mostly corrupt, be it history, psychology, metapsychology, "philosophy", art, science, poetry, religion, even fairy tales told to infants).

Elite Family Insider, day 4, post 20

Politics, he added, "takes these methods and bombard you with this every day and make sure they are maintained." There are others, such as "societies/cults/sects, people policing each other", but these are the core, and they have been "promoted since the French 'Revolution'."

The rule

Then came the line people quote most:

If promoted/praised/applauded/critically acclaimed/free, be very wary. Be it food, medicines, latest technological product, "artist", politician, musician, book, show, beverage, etc.

day 4, post 20

He immediately qualified it. Things that "stand the test of time" may have been arranged to, he said, but "if too wary, you could miss a few gems that are deliberately passed on in between the manipulation tools by some." The rule is a filter, not a ban.

What it does to you

Earlier the same day, asked how "the ones up higher" act "through the daily items you consume", he described the effect in detail. The people who consume these things for years "wear out faster, get tired faster, grow older, think slower, focus on emotional/physical needs, get health problems that were unheard of 200 years ago at that relatively young age." Some, he said, "almost get into a trance"; on others it has no effect. And then: "You are not what you eat, but what you eat controls how you feel about yourself." (day 4, post 15)

He claimed to avoid "90% of what you do daily". On the last day someone asked what he eats. Vegetables and fruit from his own greenhouse, "which sprang from uncontaminated seeds", meat, eggs and milk from his own animals, and water from an underground spring. He suggested bread from small independent bakeries. The rest of his family, he said, live differently: they have servants who bring them products "from their own properties/factories/farms." (day 5, post 5)

Temperance, the way out

The list is not the point of the answer. The point is what he said to do about it. Cutting some of the methods out of your life "will reduce dramatically" their effect, "but this is not what will make you more self-conscious." What does is temperance.

Temperance: conscious form of restraint based on self-knowing to achieve inner order of the Soul (which is the unseen you as a whole, the Soul is not a part of you, you are one).

Restraining the emotions/desires/passions/energies does not mean cutting it off (that will harm you, beware), but channeling them to work for higher causes after taming them gently. This all does lead to a sober life, yet simpler, filled with gifts because you fully become your own master, instead of your emotions/desires/passions dictating you how to be.

Elite Family Insider, day 4, post 20

Not suppression, then, but taming: the energy kept and pointed somewhere higher. Along the way, he said, "you will be cleansing yourself and will be ready to be enlightened by the Universal Mind." His last line on it: "Be like that which you want to connect with as much as possible."

Twenty years on

Read in 2026, the list reads less like paranoia than it did in 2005, and some of it has moved into the mainstream.

What makes the list interesting is not whether each item is provable. It is the shape of the idea: control that is not dramatic, but a slow, comfortable lowering of the quality of life, so gradual that "it affects them in such a way that they do not notice." Hidden Hand, three years later, said something very similar in one line: "If you wish to enslave a man, allow him to believe that he is already free."

And his answer to it was not fear or revolution. It was attention, restraint and a simpler life. Whatever you make of where it came from, that part is hard to argue with.
